Get ready for the Alaska cruise photo essays

Downtown Seattle waterfront from the Norwegian Pearl docked at the Bell St Terminal Pier 66 on Sunday August 30, 2009

Well I am back from the 7 day Alaskan cruise on the Norwegian Pearl out of Seattle and had a great time - got lucky with the weather, saw some great scenery in Glacier Bay , hiked a couple of trails in Skagway, did a bike and brew trip in Juneau, explored the historic parts of Ketchikan, enjoyed the thriving inner harbour in Victoria - met some old and new friends through Cruise Critic on board the ship and had the chance to sample some Mexican and French restaurant offerings.

Over the next few days I will be posting reports on each days happenings as well as a best of Alaska cruise 2009 photo album.

The picture at the top is of me aboard the Norwegian Pearl as we sailed past the Margorie Glacier in Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve.
