One of the nice things about living in the Metro Vancouver area is the easy access to our regional Parks - recently you saw some images from Pacific Spirit and Grant Narrows Park - today under sunny and warming skies - at least the worst of the cold raw wind is gone - I headed out towards the airport and stopped at Iona Beach Regional Park - located on the coastal wetlands of the Fraser River delta is park is rich in wildlife - mostly birds and sea creatures - there is also a log sort and great views of the North Shore mountains - it is also a great bike ride as the traffic is light and the road is flat - many of the long distance riders will use this area for there training rides and timing runs.
Afterwards a stop at IKEA for 2 hot dogs and pop - only $2.00 so you can't go wrong - then a drive along River Road to the Queensborough Bridge and Marine Way and Cambie street and home.
Cheers
Dennis
